Frontend Software Engineer (Identity Team) — Fully Remote

Coinbase is searching for a deeply capable Frontend Software Engineer to join its Identity organization, where the work directly shapes how users securely access one of the world’s most influential crypto platforms.

This is not a casual engineering seat. It is a role crafted for builders who thrive under demanding standards, welcome high-caliber collaboration, and feel energized by solving consequential problems at scale.

Coinbase’s mission is unapologetically ambitious: to increase economic freedom in the world. Achieving that vision requires exceptional engineers who believe in the transformative power of crypto, blockchain infrastructure, and onchain systems to modernize the global financial framework.

If you are drawn to high-ownership work, relentless learning, and a culture where excellence is expected—not merely admired—this opportunity may be worth serious attention.

Work Model

Although many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, they are not fully remote-only.

This means:

  • The role supports a remote-first structure
  • In-person participation is required periodically throughout the year
  • Team and company offsites occur multiple times annually
  • Attendance at these gatherings is expected and fully supported to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and team cohesion
