Job Summary

The Data Entry Team Lead supports a team of Data Entry Analysts who enter or duplicate medical bill information and break down itemized charges into a database.

This is more than a standard data entry role.

In addition to handling your own data entry work, you will also:

  • Support the supervisor
  • Help answer team questions
  • Handle escalations
  • Coach team members
  • Assist with training
  • Help ensure the team follows process and production standards
  • Step in when the supervisor is unavailable

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the Data Entry team
  • Handling:
    • Team questions
    • Escalations
    • Process clarifications
  • Assisting and supporting the Data Entry Supervisor
  • Acting as a backup to the supervisor when needed
  • Training and coaching employees on:
    • Existing processes
    • New workflows
    • Accuracy expectations
  • Performing itemized data input of medical bill charges into the database
  • Reviewing and validating:
    • Patient information
    • Provider information
    • Dates of service
    • Bill amounts
    • Itemized bill details
  • Verifying that all data points match and correlate before and after entry
  • Ensuring information is accurate prior to final submission into the database
  • Tracking the company’s high-priority files
  • Supporting onboarding or development of new team members
