Uproot Clean is a fast-growing, eco-conscious pet care brand on a mission to make pet cleaning products safer, simpler, and more sustainable. As the brand expands into major retail channels such as Walmart, Target, and Chewy, the marketing team is rapidly scaling to meet growing demand.
We’re now looking for a performance-driven Video Editor & Graphic Designer who wants more than just a editing role—someone eager to grow within performance marketing and contribute to a mission-led, high-growth DTC brand.
Job Overview
This position focuses on creating high-converting short-form video content that drives real business results. You’ll transform raw footage into engaging ads and social content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Rather than producing content in isolation, you’ll work in a feedback-driven environment where performance data directly shapes creative direction. You’ll see what works, refine your edits, and continuously improve your craft based on real outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Video Editing & Production
- Create high-performing ad creatives for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
- Edit short-form videos tailored to platform-specific best practices
- Source and organize B-roll and stock footage using provided asset libraries
- Manage creator content through Frame.io and maintain structured file organization
Graphic Design & Creative Assets
- Design marketing visuals, thumbnails, and social media graphics
- Develop on-brand creative assets using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva
- Maintain visual consistency across all marketing materials
Project Management & Workflow
- Track tasks and deadlines in ClickUp
- Follow strict naming conventions and asset management systems
- Communicate proactively about progress, blockers, and timelines
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in video editing, with a focus on short-form content
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
- Proven experience creating or editing performance-driven social media ads
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and motion design
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive communicator who anticipates issues before they arise
- A portfolio is required (applications without one will not be considered)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with DTC or e-commerce brands
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, ClickUp, Frame.io, or Notion
- Understanding of performance marketing metrics and what drives ad conversions
Technical Requirements
- Computer: i7 processor (or equivalent) with at least 16GB RAM
- Internet: Minimum 100 Mbps download speed
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (1-hour break)
- Weekly team meeting: Thursdays at 10:00 AM EST
