About the Role
Sunco is hiring a Video Editor to support the growth of its marketing video content pipeline.
This role focuses on both:
- Short-form video
- Long-form video
…across multiple content types, including:
- Ads
- Promotions
- Social content
- Tutorials
- Brand storytelling
You’ll work closely with:
- Content managers
- Writers
- Designers
- Videographers
- External agencies (when needed)
This is a highly collaborative role, but it also requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a strong bar for quality.
What You’ll Do
This role blends creative editing, platform optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
You will:
- Collaborate with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to shape:
- Video concepts
- Edit plans
- Basic storyboards
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for:
- Ads
- Promotions
- Tutorials
- Brand storytelling
- Use tools like:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Or similar professional software
- Create platform-native edits and variations for:
- Amazon
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Vimeo
- Other digital channels
- Optimize each version for:
- Format
- Length
- Hooks
- Calls to action
- Maintain consistency in:
- Branding
- Messaging
- Tone
- Visual style
- Add:
- Graphics
- Subtitles
- Simple motion design
- Basic animations
- Perform basic:
- Color correction
- Audio cleanup
- Music balancing
- Sound effects integration
- Voice balancing
- Follow licensing and brand guidelines for music and assets
- Optimize:
- Video files
- Thumbnails
- Titles
- Metadata
for SEO and discoverability
- Stay current on:
- Video trends
- Creator best practices

Required Qualification
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in film production or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio or showreel
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end edits for digital channels, especially advertising
- Experience editing from multiple content sources, including:
- Product footage
- Lifestyle shoots
- UGC (user-generated content)
- Screen recordings
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Moderate experience in 2D motion graphics
- Strong understanding of:
- Pacing
- Visual storytelling
- Composition
- Motion design
- Familiarity with sound design basics, including:
- Sound effects
- Dialogue cleanup
- Music selection
- Audio mixing
- Experience tailoring content for:
- Social media
- Marketplace platforms
- Especially short-form formats
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed, multicultural team
- Excellent attention to detail

Compensation
