What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support to the BARC Center Office while assisting leadership teams with organizational and project-related responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative support, training coordination, and project management assistance for the BARC Center Office
- Review documentation, analyze data, and maintain organized electronic records
- Assist with entering IAS Requisitions and tracking information within the CATs system
- Review OSQR CRIS projects, Annual Reports, and RPES Case Write-ups for scientific teams
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and communication between staff and leadership
- Support daily operations while ensuring compliance with established federal procedures
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should have:
- A minimum of 30 years of experience in administrative support and management, or a High School Diploma/GED
- Strong expertise using USDA-ARS systems
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Windows operating systems
- Ability to perform duties without signing federal documents or making decisions related to federally funded research
- Legal authorization to work within the United States
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working with federal agencies or government-supported programs
