Job Overview
A dynamic creative team is searching for a Mid-Level Video Editor with an instinct for visual storytelling and a refined understanding of modern digital content culture.
This role is tailored for someone who understands that editing is more than trimming clips together—it is rhythm, emotional timing, atmosphere, and narrative architecture. The ideal candidate should possess both technical fluency and creative sensitivity, capable of transforming raw footage into visually magnetic content built for today’s fast-moving platforms.
From branded campaigns and social-first storytelling to YouTube productions and high-conversion advertisements, you’ll play a central role in shaping compelling visual experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, campaigns, advertisements, and branded media
- Transform raw footage into polished productions with strong pacing, narrative cohesion, and visual clarity
- Utilize AI-powered creative tools to streamline workflows and elevate production quality
- Handle sound design, subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, and color correction when required
- Collaborate closely with producers, creatives, and content teams to execute project vision effectively
- Maintain consistency with established brand aesthetics and visual identity systems
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting tight turnaround timelines
- Organize project assets, timelines, and workflows efficiently for seamless collaboration and delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of professional experience in video editing
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Practical experience using AI-assisted creative tools such as:
- CapCut AI
- Kling
- Sora
- HeyGen
- Google Veo
- Strong understanding of storytelling dynamics, pacing, sound layering, and motion design
- Demonstrated experience creating short-form content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube audiences
- Basic familiarity with camera workflows and production processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Portfolio or showreel showcasing previous editing work is mandatory
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, or Cinema 4D
- Ability to create lightweight animations or visual effects
- Awareness of emerging social media trends and viral content structures
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Victoria Island, Lagos. Applicants should be comfortable commuting to the location while also adapting to collaborative and flexible production workflows.
