You will work across sophisticated broadcast-grade productions, handling demanding timelines, high-resolution media, layered compositing, and rendering pipelines inside Linux ecosystems.
The position blends technical engineering instincts with cinematic craftsmanship—requiring equal comfort with troubleshooting codec conflicts and shaping polished visual narratives.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead high-resolution editing, compositing, and finishing workflows using Cinelerra within Linux environments
- Construct and manage sophisticated multi-track timelines for professional digital and broadcast productions
- Execute advanced compositing techniques, including:
- Motion tracking
- Chroma keying
- Effects layering
- Visual refinement workflows
- Optimize rendering pipelines and media processing systems for greater workflow efficiency and stability
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving:
- Codecs
- Media formats
- Rendering behavior
- Linux hardware compatibility
- Collaborate with creative stakeholders to align technical execution with artistic direction
- Deliver production assets within demanding timelines while maintaining quality standards
- Document workflows, troubleshooting methods, and post-production best practices for operational continuity
Required Expertise
- Expert-level proficiency with Cinelerra and Linux-driven post-production environments
- Strong experience handling and optimizing high-resolution video media
- Advanced compositing and finishing capabilities, including motion tracking and color grading
- Exceptional attention to detail when working across layered timelines and intricate project structures
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for distributed collaboration
- Proven troubleshooting instincts within Linux ecosystems and media production workflows
- Strong organizational discipline with the ability to prioritize efficiently under deadline pressure
