Role Overview

The Document Sourcing Specialist is responsible for locating, validating, and organizing publicly accessible documents across a wide spectrum of digital and institutional repositories. Working remotely, you will operate within a fast-moving environment where accuracy is non-negotiable and documentation integrity forms the backbone of broader compliance and data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve publicly available documents from government archives, academic databases, and open-data ecosystems.
- Examine and validate licensing frameworks to ensure full adherence to open-source and usage compliance standards.
- Maintain structured metadata records, including source URLs, attribution details, and licensing classifications.
- Detect and escalate issues involving ambiguous ownership, restricted access, or licensing inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve sourcing disputes and compliance-related challenges.
- Stay continuously informed on evolving open-data policies, licensing protocols, and best practices in document sourcing.
- Communicate findings with clarity and precision to support audits, governance checks, and data quality assurance processes.

Required Competencies
