adminRole Overview: Junoior Software Engineer
We are extending an invitation to Junior Software Engineers to embed themselves within our founding engineering cohort. Here, your work will not idle in abstraction—you will carry ideas from conception to deployment, crafting end-to-end features, resolving defects, integrating systems, and refining infrastructure.
Expect no narrow silos. This is full-stack terrain, and with it comes genuine ownership. What you build will carry your imprint—from the first line of logic to the final deployment.
What You’ll Shape
The terrain is expansive, and each week may unfold differently. You might find yourself:
- Translating clinical logic into executable rules that identify patients requiring timely intervention—say, a diabetic individual overdue for endocrinology consultation.
- Engineering AI-driven automations that converse with payor systems and Medicaid frameworks, extracting and applying insurance insights for patient benefit.
- Constructing integrations with EHR systems, ensuring seamless data flow—pulling patient records, updating appointments, synchronizing fragmented platforms.
- Harnessing large language models to distill meaningful patient context, equipping care coordinators with clarity and conversational depth.
- Refining the unseen scaffolding—API responsiveness, data pipelines, deployment mechanisms, and testing rigor.
Daily rhythm is purposeful: draw from a prioritized queue, build with precision, validate through testing, submit pull requests, and release. When ambiguity arises, principal engineers provide clarity; when code emerges, the team refines it collectively.
What We Seek
- A minimum of two years navigating the terrain of professional software engineering.
- Comfort traversing both backend and frontend landscapes without hesitation.
- Firm grounding in data structures, system design fundamentals, debugging acumen, and testable code practices.
- A self-propelled mindset—someone who thrives in focused autonomy rather than constant supervision.
- Meticulous thinking—an instinct to anticipate edge cases, validate assumptions, and pursue correctness.
- A genuine appetite for ownership, collaboration, and delivering meaningful solutions to users.
Our Technical Fabric
Our ecosystem blends Python (FastAPI), React with TypeScript, MSSQL, Redis, and Azure’s suite—Container Apps, Static Web Apps, and DevOps pipelines—woven together with Terraform. Familiarity is valuable, but adaptability carries greater weight than perfect alignment.
Additional Merits
- Prior exposure to health technology or clinical environments.
- Familiarity with EHR systems or healthcare datasets.
- Experience operating within compliance-heavy or regulated domains.
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
- A history of contributing to mission-driven initiatives or underserved populations.
