What You’ll Be Building
Your work will revolve around enhancing and reimagining Java-based systems that support intricate, rules-driven logic. These platforms are foundational to business operations, requiring careful refinement and forward-thinking design.
- Extend and enhance applications handling complex financial calculations
- Rework compensation logic structures to align with shifting business requirements
- Refactor legacy codebases, transforming them into maintainable, future-ready systems
- Strengthen backend services while occasionally interfacing with UI-connected components
- Reduce technical debt and elevate system observability, resilience, and security
- Contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and container-based deployments
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain robust Java applications and APIs
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement system enhancements and architectural improvements
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across applications and dependencies
- Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Monitor system health using observability tools and refine performance where needed
- Participate in code reviews and technical dialogues to uphold engineering excellence
Required Expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Senior Java Engineer within enterprise environments
- Proven ability to build and maintain APIs and backend services
- Working knowledge of DevOps principles and test automation
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, particularly within GitHub-based workflows
- Strong troubleshooting capability across complex, distributed systems
- Comfort operating within fast-paced, small-team environments

- Cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Containerization tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
